Red LED with a lot of throw

I'm looking for a red LED with a lot of throw. Maybe a six or nine volt CR123 cell light. Ideally the 2nd gen. KL3 with a red LED would be great but they aren't available anymore. Is there a light like I describe out there somewhere? I need it for night hunting purposes. The 6P or 9P body would mount on top of a rifle scope quite nicely but I am open to suggestions.
