Hope this is the right place.

I've had a Romisen RC-N3 II with a broken driver for a while ... Long story short, I broke it some more while messing with the LED and now I really want a high power flashlight again.

Since I'm basically on a budget of ~$20, I'm wondering: Should I try and convince my parents to order another RC-N3 ($23 + shipping) or order a replacement LED and driver board ($18 + shipping)?

i'd say get another one, there's no guarantee that you can fix it, then save up for a replacement LED and driver board to fix the first one when you have time and then you will have TWO lights :D

Unless your confident with the repair then definitely go for the new light, on second thoughts for $5 get the new light and play with the old one and learn.

I'm pretty good at fixing stuff, so that's not really a deciding factor, although I'm leaning toward repairing, since it's slightly cheaper.

I've already played with it, so now it's just the LED board and the body of the light. It's unlikely I'd get a new light since my parents already bought one.
