Romisen RC-K4 best output?

I just received a Romisen RC-K4. Should I be using two 3.6v rechargeable CR123 batteries or three AAA batteries? If I should be using the AAA, which ones should I get? I am more concerned with output rather than run times. If the outputs are different, how much different will they be?

You will get much more output and about double the runtime using RCR123's.
