I have (x2) aa-1d holders thanks to "Glockboy" I want to get the Rop bulbs. I want to run the HO one it wont be on for long periods of time so the melting of everything wont be much of a problem. Do i need an aluminum reflector? I will definetley be getting a glass lense. Where should i get these all together?

Thanks..

The only way you would get the proper voltage to run a rop with those converters is to use real lithium cells in them.... 14500's.

I don't think you'd get very much runtime out of them, probably less than that of 6 AA's.

If you are only going to run the lamp for short bursts, allowing it to cool between bursts then the plastic one will work. If you plan on using it for more than the short bursts you probably want to look into an aluminum reflector.

I have run 50+W bulbs in the stock reflector and lens on a mag for up to 10-15 seconds or so without melting, so the ROP might even survive up to around 30 seconds on the stock plastics before having problems. So yes, you can get by with the stock stuff in short bursts....
