Paypal sent for 3 hotwire regulators and shipping. (3 x 27) + 7 = $88
Please do not ship until I send setup specs. I wanted to be sure to secure 3 units while I'm deciding on my build setup.
Thank you!

Your regulator shipped today.
No need to pay too far in advance for regulators. I have a bunch. Pay when you have your specs finalized. It's less confusing.

Jimmy, here are the specs for my 3 previously purchased units. They will be used mostly with Philip's 5761 and Magcharger bulbs. Please tell me if you see anything wrong with my selected specs for the chosen batteries. Rarely do I run the bulbs at 100%, and when I do it's but for a minute.

2 units set as following:

Multi-Level Mode
Vbulb: 7.5 v
Vlow: 7 v for 7 NiMH D batteries
Level-1: 33%
Level-2: 66%
Level-3: 100%
Softstart: Slow
Low Volt Warning: Pulsing
Low volt shutdown: (Both, 30 Seconds, 94%)
VLOW_Latch: Disable
Over Temp trigger: 70C
Over Temp Shutdown: Yes (30 Seconds)
Response: 1/4, "Multi-Level Mode"

1 unit set as following:

Multi-Level Mode
Vbulb: 7.5 v
Vlow: 6 v for 2 26650 or 6 NiMH D batteries
Level-1: 33%
Level-2: 66%
Level-3: 100%
Softstart: Slow
Low Volt Warning: Pulsing
Low volt shutdown: (Both, 30 Seconds, 94%)
VLOW_Latch: Disable
Over Temp trigger: 70C
Over Temp Shutdown: Yes (30 Seconds)
Response: 1/4, "Multi-Level Mode"

Thank you!

I don't have any experience with the Magcharger bulbs. Consult Lux Luthor's bulb testing page.
The 5761, however, will not last long if at all at 7.5V The most I would expose it to is 7.2V. I run mine at 7.15V

Okay then, make it 7.2 v. I want to take it reasonably close to the edge since I so seldom run at the 100% level

ROLL TIDE!
Jimmy, just wanted to apologize for not buying quicker. I got kind of bogged down trying to come up with exactly how I wanted each unit configured.

The bulbs I know I want to get one optimized for are...

WA1111
WA1185
5761
FM1909

And at least one or two more TBD.

Each will be set for maximum STUN and minimum bulb life. I will use LiPo cells for each. Still got some details to work out but any input or suggestions are welcome.

Jeez, Colonel. I've only used the 5761 (great bulb). I like it at 7.15V for great brightness and life. I have one in a 3D with Li-Ion D cells from Kai.
I did have an unregulated WA1185, that was one of my first hotwires on NiMH AAs.
Good luck with the others. I'm sorry I'm not more help. Sounds like a nice group of lights. Bright but not firestarters. Should get good runtime.

I'm still holding out hope of building a nice light with 4 or 5 LiFePO 32600s or 26650s and the 62138 bulb (little filament will focus nicely in a 2" reflector).

OK, got my unit after repair, thank you.

It seems to work well on 20W Osram, now waiting for 5761 for further tests.
