Last night, while checking cars at the golden globes, my light took a dump...Batteries and lamp checked out okay but the tail switch seemed to be malfucntioning...sent it back today to streamlight...do they ususally just send a new one or repair it? also, is his a common problem with Scorpions?

I dropped my first Scorpion not long after recieving it. The inner spare lamp shattered, the filament of the one in-use went askew and the switch was damaged. It now sticks in the on-position, and can only be turned off by pressing very hard repeatedly. Additionally the rubber body cover was damaged, as it would seem to be very soft and easilly cut or torn.
Somehow I had expected better of this light. I will admit that this, and the design of the body, are the reasons I am not very fond of what otherwise could be a great light.
