I bought a Fenix P3DQ5 1 year ago and I am very pleased with it. I still get impressed when it lightens up the area around. It´s like a piece of daylight coming out.
Still the reflector is pretty small wich gives the flashlight a limited throw. So now im looking for that kind of flashlight. Something that can impress with a beam that throws pretty far, but still in one-hand held size, and still in a form of a flashlight (ie Maglite size).
Not to expensive either. Maximum 100$, wich means i cant buy the Microfire Warrior III for example.

The Dorcy 220 lumen rechargeable LED flashlight bought at Amazon.com for $40 is exactly what you are looking for, and will blow you away with its 300+ yard throwing range. There will be no comparison between it and your Fenix in terms of throw. This light is regarded as one of the longest throwing LED lights available using standard reflectors. This light will be the best light to fit your requirements and will be breathtaking to you and anyone you show it to with its ability to put a bright spot of light on extremely distant targets..

The Dorcy light is a good thrower, just read the reviews. but from what I recall, the runtime isn't great though.

The DBS is also in your price range, near the top, you might also be able to make a Maglite Aspherical mod, that should throw a lot further.

+1 on the Dereelight DBS. Or for even better throw (but no spill), get the Dereelight CL1H and a Aspheric lens. Insane throw for such a little light. I love mine, though if I had to do it again I would have spent the extra money to get the DBS and the aspheric head.

Might not be a Maglite style, but you could even consider the Stanley HID $70 from Walmart which will out throw any LED light in existence (except for saabluster's incredible DEFT with the additional optic lense). No other LED thrower or even aspheric will come close..

It will be bluer then most LEDs and is much larger, but it will out throw all or almost all LED lights.
