At the elementary school where I work, so many teachers feel the need to use posters in order to convey what they consider useful. One reads something like this: Whether you think you can do it or not, you're right.
There is a concept referred to as 'growth mindset' and just seems like it could be helpful for those who might be stuck in a rut that is not productive or satisfying. Sure, people get all goofy about growth mindset versus fixed mindset, peddling it as a straight-forward fix that produces miracles. And the lingo that evolves around it will surely be off-putting to quite a few. Yet it can be helpful to reflect on one's own thinking about things, whether there is a sense of chronic negativity or the attitude that with hard work, creating something better for oneself and those around us is a very real possibility.
Look around you and see for yourself; Who has a growth mindset, who has a fixed mindset. Yeah but please don't start slinging that superior posturing about, as so many humans are inclined; seems like it turns off more people than it helps.
