The kit is really an all in one thing, i dont have a decent enough camera to take pictures of the parts itself, but beamshots will follow.

Its all machined out of Alu, fit is pretty good.

Installing it i ran into a problem, the module's heatsink was a tight fit into the bulb section of the mag. Basically, you take out the retaining ring and the bulb, and push the module in. Once in,it was quite hard to remove. You have to push it down all the way. Its scary, but it DOES come out..which is part of another problem.

After installing everything, and focusing the optic right...

Ashperic mag on left, A9 on right. The hot spot of the Kit is VERY intense, much more then the A9, although this picture barely shows it.

shot from the back room in my apartment, you can just barely see the beams, cos my camera sucks. the Mag o the left, tiablo on the right.

close up with abit of contrast and brightness adjustment.

the problem i mentioned earlier, is that the module CAN come out, because although its a tight fit, its only snug, not stuck, so abit of shaking wil cause it to spring out slightly, throwing (no pun intended) the focus way off. You have to unscrew everything, and push the module back down, because with the module up, you can't achieve the optimal focus length.

over all though,The Apheric mag is pretty damn good, i must say, very worth the money i paid for it. :D

I put a piece of paper between the drop-in heatsink and mag body, now it stays on even if I shake the light a lot and doesnt defocus. However pulling the drop-in off cant be done without tools but a gerber/leatherman style multitool or pliers pulls it off easily. At least my gerber legend.

This is one fantastic thing, its like a white laser. Get one and see this thread for better beamshots.

Probably not the best idea if you want good heat transfer from the drop-in to the body. :poke:
