I just ordered a 80lm apex 4aa last week and it seemed the very next day i seen the post about the new headlamp. My girl freind has the 60 lm and there is a difference in the spot and the led light. I'm just wondering if it's worth buying the new 130 or just changing the emitter in the 80. I know there is a section on how to change the emitter and how much improved it was. I was wondering if anyone had any beam shots for both the new 130 and a modded 60/80 light. If i mod my light and can change emitters in my girlfriends 60 and help her out or but the new 130 and give her mine. just wanted to hear what you guys had to say :shrug:

Since you have already ordered the headlamp, I would modify it and your girlfriends headlamp at the same time. Get the LED's from PhotonFanatic to ensure the quality, and you will get what you pay for.
BTW, you should consider yourself lucky to have a girlfriend who will wear a headlamp. My wife will use a flashlight or a lantern, but she draws the line at a headlamp.

We had a 48 hour power failure, and have practically had our headlamps glued to our heads all evenings, for reading, eating, cooking on the propane or BBQ, etc. We've both got EOS lamps (Mine's updated with a P4) as well as pimped-out P4 Apex lights, but the EOS is tons of light around the house.
I set up my NightLightning bike light on emergency low mode aimed at the ceiling for some ambient light in the kitchen as well.
