Well, are wanting a light for a specific purpose, or are you just looking for your next flashaholic purchase?

If it's the former, then the LX2 and UB3 are pretty wildly different lights, and you'd best evaluate what you want to use the light for, and which of these would serve that purpose most effectively.

And if it's the latter, then as mentioned above, we have no idea when the UB3 will be released (or even, for that matter, *if* it will be released), so it all depends on how much patience you have for a product that doesn't really exist yet.

Personally, I would just go for the LX2, but then again, I have fairly little interest in the UB3 in the first place...

You should buy both of course! The LX2 is a really nice EDC, whereas the UB3 if/when its released would be usefull for other uses. While waiting for the UB3 why not buy a Malkoff MD4 or MD3?
