Six Flags "Mr. Six" finally revealed

Remember that old dancing guy from the Six Flags commercials a few years ago? There was a debate going on here (and a lot of other places) about who he or she was.

What I'd like to know is how Six Flags got its name. What six flags are they referring too?

Never mind, I found it on Wikipedia.

The park took its name from the six flags that have flown over the State of Texas during its history, namely those of Spain, France, Mexico, the Republic of Texas, the United States of America and the Confederate States of America. In 2006, the company celebrated the 45th anniversary since the opening of Six Flags over Texas.
