I just talked to my military buddy and he said we can do another Driver Over with one of the MUCH heavier military vehicle! I cant say no to that! This mean we will HAVE TO destroy another production 7075 sample. The question is which serial to be be killed?!

But first may be I can send you the current 6061 sample to be shot at? Do you think you can help us make a video?

I can also shoot and record if help is needed. I have at least a dozen pistol calibers and a dozen rifle calibers and access to hundreds of others. Just my opinion but I don't think rifle calibers will be helpful or necessary. It would be fun to see .22, .380, .38spl, 9x19, .45, and then whatever it takes to make it stop working. I think one hit on the head with 10mm or .357 would cause enough deformation and perhaps shock to disable it.

Shots should be center mass where its strongest. If the light survive from the shock then its already too impressive. I personally don't think it can handle 9mm but I haven't handled 7075 either.

That sounds wise and consistent and I'm guessing that's where the thickest part of the light is?

Based off all the mild steel plate of various gauges I've shot at over the years, I don't think 115gr 9mm @ 1125fps will cause deformation. A 115gr 9x21 or .38 Super @ 1450fps... probably a different story. Failure from shock though, I have no idea. I don't know what typically fails first from shock on a flashlight.

For sure. Bounce/sheer/deflect into a spray of fragments. Even square on I think the 9mm will lose most of its mass to fragments. It will be neat to see what Scout comes up with.
