It seems as though everyone recommends against buying from Batteryspace unless you can't find the what you are looking for anywhere else. Is it a customer service problem, product quality, cheap dangerous products?

I need two battery packs, one with 2 18650's and the other with 3 18650's, and a smart charger. Battery space has exactly what I need but there have not been too many nice things said about them.

What am I missing here?

I've never had a poblem with anything I have purchased from them. Delivery has been lightening quick, but I live right across the bay from them. They do, however, respond to e-mail quicker than returning phone calls but my calls have all been returned within 24 hours. This is just one person's experience.

They ship the stuff promptly and all that, but the batteries themselves haven't been that great, apparently.

I didn't have any problems. It ended up that my item was on back order, but they clearly communicated this to me and gave me the option of cancelling my order and re-submitting it when the items were back in stock. I recommend them as well . . .

Ordered from them awhile back, got some powerizer/tenergy cells and a charger.... All works pretty good considering the price... no problems here...

I don't know where you've read that about BatterySpace and especially from EVERYONE. I've ordered from them several times and the prices and service were excellent. The only problem with them for me is I have to pay the criminal Kalifornia sales tax.

I have used them serveral times, and never had a single problem with the company. The cells may not be the highest quality, but I dont use them in high drain devices. I usually use them in my R/C car transmitters, and for use like that, they are great.

LumBee1, were you fishing for a "Cheer" for batteryspace.com or did you have some examples of bad stuff about them. What did you hear? Who is "everyone", and why would you post such a leading question as a thead starter? Don't worry if people are not satisfied with batteryspace.com, eventually there will a thread in the "jeers" forum. Actually, this is not the proper forum to be discussing right or wrong about batteryspace.com. Try the Cafe. JM2C's.

I ordered a pretty cheap package from them in January 2004, 4 NiMH AA's, 4 NiMH AAA's and charger for about $26 shipped. I had problems with the AAA's, which have been in continual use in a remote since that time. The cells died one at a time, but Batteryspace responded to my complaints each time and sent me replacement batteries. The orginals were 700 mah, and I now have a complete replacement set of 750 mah. I have to refresh the cells every time I charge them (i.e. charge, discharge, recharge), in order to get a couple of months usage out of them, but this is doable. I don't use their charger anymore since I have a better charger. So, I found their customer service to be pretty decent.

I wasn't fishing for anything. I was looking at their battery packs but I read from posters on here and other forums to look for batteries and chargers elsewhere. I heard this several times and after scanning this section of the forum, I couldn't find anyone that listed a good or bad experience with them. I thought I would just ask the question. I don't have specific examples and I won't point out posters that recommended against BS. Obviously from the positive response on this thread, I feel very comfortable ordering from them.

I don't remember anyone really jeering Batteryspace. They sell some ultra low priced NiMH cells that have had quality problems (do a search in the battery electronics section) but you get what you pay for. I saw some favorable reports of their li ion cells but I think not many of those are in use. They also resell LG li ion cells and those are believed to be of high quality (but expensive). Overall I decided to pay more and stay with name brand stuff, so I bought a pile of Sanyo HR-3U 2500 mAH AA cells instead of the tenergy cells. Of course the Sanyos often develop a bad self-discharge problem as was discovered later.

I would like to see the overwhelming number of negative comments "here and other forums" that had you characterize EVERYONE saying not to use batteryspace.com....I'm guessing it will turn out to be a couple of posts that is what you see with every site.

If you were not fishing for anything, then why not start out as: "Is batteryspace.com a good place to order from?"

What is the origin of the CR123 batteries from this site? I see he has good prices but a different description use depending on quantity ordered. For example, 50 pcs for Surefire lights, 20 pcs for photo flashlights and paintball guns, etc. I assume they are all the same battery? Also under applications, personal computers is listed. Has anybody ever seen a pc with a CR123 used as a CMOS/flash battery backup?

I have bought the 20 pc CR123 batteries and never had any problems. I think they have slightly less runtime than the more expensive batteries, but It's hardly noticable for me since I use them in flashlights.
