RPM's switch uses the McClicky, and his tailcap is not compatible with AW's conversion parts.

i cant get the plastic retaining ring out the bottom of the Z41!

does it yank out or unscrew? Im scratching the threads...not good

Nite : The plastic retaining ring unscrews out. A little lubricant spray may help loosen up the dry threads.

It is working well with drop-ins that have 9 volt imput. Two Li Iions work well. I have tried it with several of my drop-ins.

Hmm ok my mistake what I wondered is does the softstart fit in the l2;s tailcap ... my bad englis or un clear way of asking and if it fit what model ? of softstart will a need

Type B will thread into the L2's empty tailcap, but it might sit too far back inside the cap to make good contact with the end of the body tube. But since the L2 body and cap both have bare threads, the light should still light up, just the spring contact might not be very strong.
