Are there any online retailers? I've done some searching but I'm not having much luck.

Hey Jake,

Can you give me the straight deal on SolarForce? I have seen others talk about them, and have been curious about them. I have even come close to buying a couple.

Here's the problem. I have a decent amount of Surefires (about 17 at last count), six McGizmo's (LS20, LS27, Haiku, Sundrop, Q527 two-cell thrower, Sapphire, Two Megalenniums, A LOT of Milky's creations, etc...

(I'm kind of a true flashaholic as I still look at less expensive lights even though I have some of the best and most expensive).

What might SolarForce lights offer that these others don't?

Hey Socom, I think the advantage of Solarforce are their prices. You can pay the price of a "beater" light and still have a high quality light. I think other Solarforce owners will agree the machining and over all quality of a genuine Solarforce light is superb, even for double the price some still might think that.

Solarforce products are no where near "low" quality just because they're cheaper, IMO.

Hope that sheds a bit of light for you.

Solarforce flashlights are of excellent quality and a great value. I had owned quite a few of them and I have yet to have a problem with any of them.

May I also add that one of the main advantages, if not the main, is Versatility.
You can use almost any P60 style drop-ins for L2, drop-ins with R2, MC-E, UV etc are available. Change the body for single cell or double and even add-ons for more cells. Multiple switch options, tactical, tailstanding with or without cigar grip. And not to mention it comes in black, gunmetal, sand and in SS version.

What Zeruel said!

Also most of the components are Surefire compatable. This means you can configure a flashlight exactly the way you want it. Try a search for 'Lego' and you will see what I mean.

The Solarforce L2 isn't HAIII yet:thumbsup:

Solarforce quality has definitely gotten better. I got an early L600 model, and was amazed to discover that an important internal component was made from shaped cork.

Not happy about that. The tailcap was also **** poor, but ironically works great on my L2 host. I learned from other CPFers that the shaped cork was replaced with plastic on newer L600 models.

It's good to see a company recognize that improvement was needed, and did indeed improve their product.

I've just seen on the Solarforce website a L2M in SS with a head based on the A001:party:. Is this the start of a bunch of new releases? Come on spill the beans Jake:poke:, or at least half a can:D.

Solarforce is uh....going to uh....make some...new stuff, yea:whistle:

I already have the SS L2m , and new dropins on order you'll see it on my website soon.
