If there is question whether new or old, just call Elzetta. With serial number, they will tell you right away.

I found my Alpha which I bought here is new 415 lumen model by calling them. Those guys are really nice. Excellent customer service.

One more thing. When I communicated with tech or customer service rep, they were happy to look and test my Alpha to make sure it is up to the spec. So if anyone has doubt on their Elzetta flashlights, send to them. My impression was they are 100% behind their product as Malkoff and Surefire does. I always have good experience with them.

I haven't heard from nmiller, but as of now the elzetta package is SPF to him.
