Sold/Expired [SOLD] Surefire U2 MC-E Modded

the U2 is my favourite Surefire I modded a few with MC-E emitter for some friends and I have left 2 available.

BOTH SOLD THANKS!

One is pretty much new the other has been carried and show some light wear on the tailcap/bezel.

MC-E brightest M-bin, doubled output then stock, much wider beam and warmer tint.

These are so sweet. If SF updated their U2's just like this, it would really reinvigorate the model IMO. :thumbsup:

Aw heck - I think I have to try #2. I'm a sucker for warm tints, and I just sold my Spy007, so....I don't have any lights that change levels via a rotating ring. My collection has a hole in it. ;-)

Do they fit a single 18650 battery?

Thanks 2# is sold pending funds. FITP I sent you paypal details.

These do not fit a 18650 battery, 2xCr123 are needed. I'm pretty sure the U2A driver and MC-E won't run anyway in full regulation with a sinlge li-ion cell.

Hey how did you get a MC-E to work with a driver meant for a Seoul P4? Did you hook it up 2s2p.

2S2P would be appropriate for the old U2 that used a Lux V and a boost driver.

4P would work. The MC-E would look like a 3.3V or so Vf LED to the U2A buck driver, basically the same as the P4.

Related to this mod, I just tested 2xAW16340 cells (fresh off the Pila charger) in an XP-G mod'ed U2A and it works -- the driver didn't fry. So even if you don't have a battery tube that can take 1x18650, you probably can still use 16340 Li-ions.
