Hi together.

Problem:
most any of the 26650 cells - to be found with E-Bay and such - are high dran ones.
For normal use, I do not want to tote the dead weight and size of a simple 2400 mAh cell, that all my 18650 can do also.

The only real source for a high capacity 26650 cell (which is unprotected there, btw.) is batteryspace,
and they only ship by EMS
unfortunately EMS is something I absolutely HATE, for several reasons but in 1st place for their ridiculus prices: 70,--!!! for one cell!!!
:(
Where do all You european members get Your 26650s?
high cap preferred (what do they have? 4000-5000mAh?)

I'd like to know as well.

The shipping cost issue also affects me, and to make it worse, it's with UPS (although they do mention FedEx).

I have no source for them in europe but am sure more people are looking for these.
A group buy would make sense, maybe they can offer a different way of shipping if we ask for that.

Ah, yeah, just checked out that Batteryspace website.

They want $56 to ship to me in Canada.

These guys need to get their crap together, maybe they'd get some more business.

I'm guessing I could order a much larger lot of those batteries, and that shipping price might not go up all that much.
Sounds like a group buy kind of deal.

the 56,-- is the "best offer when specially asking", for Europe, too.
Originally shown is simply 2nd day and "almost 2nd Day" shippping (~77,-- and ~70,--)

even as these 56,-- is less ... I am used to pay 20,-- MAX for ordering 5-10 T-Shirts, other gear, ..., all shippings with way more weight that a few batterie cells, using simple AirMail.

... again searching for those cells for over 1 hour now. E-Bay, Google and such.
Seems there are only very high drain 2400 mAh 26650 cells all over the world.
:(

thnkx for the links to the other thread, checked that
unfortunately they also just deal with cells for the hotwire crew.

For single led, I see no sense in using 26500/26650, when my much smaller and lighter 18650 do the same.
:(

ordered a few of the dealextreme 3500 mAh 26500 protected cell,
but what to do with the 26650 body?

I emailed batteryspace about 6 months ago.
They said if I put a personal note requesting cheaper shipping they would refund money.
Other members have done this and received a refund.
