I made one of these for my 007 and liked it so much I figured I'd make a few more for other 007 Gun Nuts! Price is pretty cheap, just enough to cover packaging materials, shipping and my time to make and ship them.

These were made from spent .223 cartridges.
Each one has been sanded with 1500 Ultra Fine sandpaper & polished, then cut by hand. The backsides have been hand filed almost flat and is not perfect.
What is important is that it looks nice on the face where it will be seen.
If I had a lathe, these would have been done much quicker & cleaner on the backs. I will use masking tape on the front so they don't get scratched in delivery and will include a small piece of 3M premium double sided tape. Each one will be sealed in a bag and shipped in an envelope. They could also be super glued into place. They fit exactly as shown in the picture, so I guess they aren't actually an insert.:duh2:
They will sit more flush if you can find a thinner double sided tape. The supplied tape is for automotive trim and is 1.5mm thick.

0 X Winchester .223 REM available...more available upon request....SOLD

5 X R . P .223 REM available

Price is only $6.00 each delivered in the USA....add $1.00 for outside US delivery.

All will go out via USPS First Class Mail

Please post an "I'll take it" if interested and send payment to the address in my profile. Same as my email address.

I just checked a .40 and .223 casing. The .40 obviously has a larger DIA than the .223 but where it necks down for the extractor is deeper on the .40. It looks like it should fit perfectly. The only difference would be the casing will cover more of the edges on the knob... see DaFab's picture. I have some nickel and black chrome plated casings:thinking:... I might have to try this tomorrow. I think the black chrome Hornaday TAP casings would look great with the TI:devil:

Awsome work Tim... I can't wait to get the brass one:thumbsup: BTW... try a .45ACP... it might neck down enough to fit. I know you have some of those around.

The display winchester looks like it's got a burst primer.
Are these fired from your rifle? If so take the firing pin out and give it a good inspecton for me, taking a peek at the bolt face wouldn't hurt either.

OH and to be OT, if I had a SPY I'd 100% be sure to have one of these on it.
:twothumbs

Thanks Keith, BTW, your's shipped out today along with Hornady708's:thumbsup:

I will be trying a few 38 specials and a black chrome 45ACP later tonight.
If I like the way they turn out, I'll post a few up.
:wow: very nice and very creative! :goodjob:

Thank you Icarus!:D

I have no idea if my rifle fired that one or not..:shrug:
I think what you are seeing in that picture is polishing compound that I don't clean out...ooops!:ohgeez:
I've got a huge box of spent shells in my garage and thought of this last night while coming across a random .223 cartridge in my office.:eek::naughty:

If you do end up with a 007 and these are gone, drop me a PM and I'll make one for ya!

Nice work Tim, but your didn't charge enough . Seriously man, that's a lot of finger tip work for $6. I'll mentally note this as a CPF member charity sale. :)

Patriot,

Thank you for the nice words!
I decided to ask for so little as a way to stick with the CPF spirit.
They don't take a whole lot of time, but do leave the fingers a little sore.

MSaxatilus, Your 2 Winchesters are going out shortly.

Still more available...:poke:

I can attempt to other sizes, but will need you to send me your casings.

can you squeeze a battery into one, (bullet)

and led on the front?

pre pay special order for cpf members?
