I'm having problem putting pictures here. So I'll try with my limited composition ability to describe my problem here on my SR90 beam characteristic.

Just want to checked with you guys who owns Olight SR90 Intimidator.

Does any of your SR90's hot spot at close range shows a dark hole at it's center while at about 10 meters to 20 meters besides it's hotspot, 4 pointed dome shape light casting are visible within it's spill light.

So what I'm having is an ugly hot spot with nice spill light in which 4 pointed dome light casting. (picture a star fish with 4 fat pointy!)

Thanks for reading.
Have a good day!

Yes, the hole disappears at about 40-50 cm, not really a usable distance for this light.
I suspect that the starfish pattern is due to the big square die in a tightly focussed reflector and the only way to avoid it is to make a light with less throw (i.e. use a OP reflector).

Mine has a tiny bit of a hole at close range, but is goes away long before the flashlight's intended range. I think it's gone at 10m, but I'm not sure as I don't have it with me. It does have the starfish-like corona (in my review I said it was clover shaped), but it isn't very bright and quite small. I didn't notice it in actual use, only whitewalling for the review.

OP reflector. that's an idea. Now to go look for one that fits.

Thanks man.

Clover shape! That's it. Thanks man!

Ya ugly clover shape casting within it's spills that's visible even at about 10 meter away.
