What do you prefer in a knife, a straight edge or half serated.

I like straight edges, i bought a combo mini griptilian but dislike it, so i stick with the straight.

I used to love a combo edge mainly because when your non-serrated section went dull you would have cutting ability left in the serrated section. Though I noticed teeth missing on a few of mine that were not due to abuse just the full length of the blade passing through something. I feel like serrations are nice but if you have a sharp knife they are not needed. I primarily carry a Blade Tech MLEK Magnum with straight blade.

Straight always, and then I keep a Spyderco Ladybug with full SpyderEdge handy as well. You'll be surprised how much the tiny thing rips through!

i used to *think* i like combo edge too

then i sold my combo edge after i bought my first straight edge, and now i won't buy combo edge anymore :p

Straight-Edge even though I do have others that are fully serrated or partially serrated.

My vote is for the straight edge, and most of my knives are such, although my most recent purchase is a spydie delica 4 with a combo edge, and I do like the knife a great deal. I find the serrated edge is great for cutting things like rope or paracord :poof: I'm definitely keeping this knife, but If I got another one I'd probably go for a straight edge.

I voted straight edge.

I don't like a combo because its hard to cut rope and other things with a combo. I feel like I'm using a saw. It also uses up too much of my blade and limits the uses for my straight edge.
