My little P3D is acting strange... here is the story.
I'm using AW RCR123A.
All of a sudden the light stop working.
When I look for the voltage with my multimeter one of the cell is about 2.40v and the other cell is 0.00v !
The light does not flicker at all.

What do you think ? Is it a common problem ?

Big thanks !

Mat

If you are useing the AW RCR123A then they are probably 3.7 volts each.
You cannot use anything other than 3.0 volt cells for this light. I had the same problem/question and thought something was wrong with my Fenix.
I now use the 3.0 volt RCR123A cells and have no problems.

Would a protected cell that has been drained to it's lower limit give a 0.0V reading if the protection circuit isn't allowing any current out? Should he try charging it?

Spypro,

You have drained your cells down to protection mode. The LVC of the 0.0V cell has tripped and need to be recharged/ reset.

I don't know why my P3D does not flicker... is it normal ?
With SF CR123A the P3D is flickering when the cells are low but the RCR123A, no flickering at all.
I don't want to damage my cells.

The protection circuit on a RCR123 kicks in when there is about 2.7V left in the cell. Times two that is 5.4V. The P3D doesn't start flickering until 4V is detected.
