I have an old Streamlight SL-20. It is the old style with a sliding switch, yes about 25 years old. Is there a LED upgrade for this. It still works, but not much light output. I would also like to put a clear glass lens on it. It has served me well and I would like to upgrade it.

Can anyone help. I don't want to spend a fortune on it, I just want to make it usable again.

Thanks

don't know about a LED upgrade...

most people put the SL-35 lamp in it for more ooompf

might want to completely dissasemble tailcap and switch to clean up and pro-gold treat all the contacts for some free extra lumens too.

www.flashlightlens.com certainly has good lens options

;)

I have one of the older SL35's. Maybe your battery pack is not up to par. You can find them on the web, just write in generic Streamlight SL20 battery pack.

The battery pack is new, and it does need a new lens, but I was hoping to convert it to LED. Anyone do this?

What is the stock bulb in the SL-20 like ?

I know the newer SL-20X has an integrated bulb and reflector assembly.
Is the older SL-20 the same way ? In some pics I've seen of it, it kind of looks like the bulb is separate from the reflector.
