So one night a few months or so ago I had asked my fiancée what would be the perfect EDC for her (she currently EDC's a NiteCore EX10) and she made the following requests:
- Small. The smaller the better since she has a very small purse (unlike the giant bags that some women call purses).
- Incandescent (or warm, high CRI LED). She really doesn't care for the lack of color rendition from LEDs and likes the incan's warm beam much better.
- Tail stand. She strongly wished for the light to be able to tail stand in order to ceiling bounce the light if needed.
- Miniumum of 15 lumens (65 lumens max). Not real dim, but not super bright either.
- Single or two-mode would be preferable. She currently operates her EX10 without any trouble and doesn't mind it, but prefers the simplicity of a single or two-mode light.
- Non-rechargeable (runs on primary CR123's) and runs for at least 45 minutes.
- Minimal or no knurling.
Well after 1-2 months of purchasing SF parts on CPFMP, her new light is now complete...and follows every one of the above requirements
I present the SureFire "E1eBD"
:
SF E1e bezel (for it's small size)
SF E1B body (no knurling and awesome clip)
SF E2D tailcap (tailstand ability and looks awesome)
LF HO-E1A lamp (40 bulb lumens for ~60 minutes)
...all in SF HA black

This whole SF lego thing is actually pretty fun
I can see this getting expensive
. Nowadays when everyone is in pursuit of the latest and greatest million-mode, 900-lumen LED light, we tend to forget how useful a 40 bulb lumen incandescent can be.
On paper, an E1e with its 15 lumens for 90 minutes seems worthless. I remember when I got my E1e (and now this 1-cell e-series lego light) how impressed I really was with its output. For their size, these little lights are actually pretty bright and useful. BTW, this LF HO-E1A is noticeable brighter than the MN01.
Just though I'd share this neat new SF creation with you guys
