Hog, Just got my modded KL6.
It's really something, I'm going to take some pictures then beamshots when It gets dark.

Nothing special, just a K2T LED and SOB1000 driver.

I've been wanting a L6 for YEARS. I'd love to have the setup Skalomax has.... I'm picky though and would want perfect L6 to start with which are impossible to find.

Does the L6 need to be opened up, or does it take a lamp assembly similar to the MN61 lamps..

Also , does anyone have a beamshot of the modded L6 next to lets say any M6 or M4 or M3 with the LED Tower Module ?
I have a KT4 with a LED Tower Module and I want to see if getting a KL6 and having it modded is necessary..

Yes L6 needs a mod, but not the emitter. what L6 really needs is a two stage LOTC tailcap mod.

don't know about anyone else's, but mine has a wonderful tint and puts out a wall of light. 100+ lumens out the front end.

highly doubtful a modded L6 with P4 puts 200+ lumens out the front end.

my L6 is a keeper!! with 2x li-ion, it's cheap to run too. love that two stage tailcap!

I see no reason to open up L6 if you already have an excellent beam.
killing your lifetime surefire warranty is not to be taken lightly.
