I recent came across some "SF vs other" debates like usual, and i figured out that many people had claimed things like.... "you break, they fix" etc etc type of claims.
I looked at the warranty according to SF and:
Now my question is very simple:
From your experience, have your ever damaged a SF resulting from abuse or neglect or battery leakage or use of other than SureFire-brand batteries, they knew about it and still honor the warranty?
For people in Australia (I'm from Australia), what are your experiences with Surefire like in the past when it comes to claiming warranty?
Now strictly this is about Surefire's CUSTOMER SERVICE, if you want to talk about anything else, the door is *that way* lovecpf
Why am I making this thread? I'm thinking of buying a SF badly, what would be the "deal maker"? Warranty would be the last hurdle as I had in many different times heard about SF's mixed customer service quality for non-US customers.

Now according to the warranty as stated above, normal wear and tear is not covered by Surefire.ILLUMINATION TOOLS WARRANTY
SureFire, LLC warrants our illumination tool products to be free from defect in workmanship and materials, including any LEDs housed within, for the lifetime of the original owner. We will repair, replace, or refund your original purchase price of this product, at our discretion, if it is determined by us to be defective. Electronics, chargers, and rechargeable batteries are covered for a period of two years with proof of purchase. Normal wear and tear — including lamps burning out, batteries draining, and switches wearing out — is not covered, nor is damage resulting from abuse, neglect, battery leakage, use of other than SureFire-brand batteries or accessories, or altering this product from its original state. SureFire offers a 10-year limited warranty in any country or under any jurisdiction where specific restrictions exist on limited lifetime warranties.
