I recently bought a used surefire scout weapon light from an individual that claimed he bought a bunch of them surplus. I paid him 20.00 dollars and put batteries in it and it worked. I am new to SF. I guess you can modify these lights with diiferent heads and pressure switches? I guess I would like more info from some experts. I plan on putting it on a sig 556. I also told this lady I would like to by 2-3 more she could get them. What does a good used SF light sell for. I realize this is probaly an obsolete model, but it still works fine and just shows wear on the paint job.

I've edited your thread's title so that it more accurately represents the WeaponLight model you want to discuss...

SureFire offer their KX2C 200 lumen LED bezel as an 'update' to the KL4.

I suspect that your ScoutLight has a clickie TailCap with a metal shroud (known as a Z68)

SureFire offer their UE07 remote tape pressure switch TailCap as an alternative.

FYI SureFires such as the ScoutLights are Mil-Spec Type III Hard Anodised rather than 'painted'. HA is a far more durable finish although it does wear and gain character through use.

We have our CPF MarketPlace to explore the value of flashlights. I suggest you check that side of things out over there.

Best regards,
Al :)
