They both seem so close in builds , is there really any advantage in one over the other ? In the pics I've seen it looks like the G2Z LED has a plastic body and a metal head ? Sorry if this sounds like a dumb question , I am just a NEWBIE trying to learn.

The nitrolon is easier to hold in the bare than when it is really cold or really hot. But the aluminum is better with a high power LED, which the P60L is not that hot when running. I have a G2 and a 6P and there is not much difference other than the feel in the hand and the way it will look in a year. My 6P has quite a few battle scars.

I own 2 nitrolon SureFire lights, a G2 and a G3. I would not buy another nitrolon light because the future is LED, and aluminum handles the heat so much better. Six volt, or 2 battery, LED lights are brighter and have much better run times than incandescent 6 volt, 2 battery lights. The 9 volt, 3 battery LEDs are just about even with 9 volt incandescent. Buy a Z2.
