i have a suspicion that my Olight T20 might be draining the batteries down while it's just sitting. i haven't had any luck with the search so i was wondering if any body else has had this problem. the light just sits on my nightstand as a member of my bump in the night line up but the batteries get low enough that it jumps into med when turned into high. when i put fresh batteries in it works in high. any input would be much appreciated. thanks

It's called parasitic drain, and with most lights you can do a tail cap "lockout." Basically, you just turn the tailcap a turn or two, to where it won't turn on when you use the switch. Unfortunately, I think this only works on lights that have anodized threads.

According to HKJ Olight T20 shouldn't exhibit the parasitic drain. You can always check yourself - you'd need only to turn the light off and measure the current.

That is correct, the only reason it could have a drain would be if some humidity got into the tailcap switch. Try doing a ohmic measurement of the tailcap, when it is off, it must show no connection. For instruction of how to do the measurement, see my guide.
