Tain vs Hanko

I've had 3 lights from both makers, and to me they are all incredibly special.

Why do Hankos sell so much higher on secondary market?

Supply, demand, and hype. That's the gist of it. Hanko's generated a strong cult-like following on Facebook which has fed the demand, and generally has always had a stronger presence being US-based. Jeff Hanko shows up to a lot of the main events (ie. the Gathering) to sell his products too which adds on to the above. Tain is a bit more off the radar being in Taiwan, and has never exhibited much of a presence online through any platform. They're probably close to par in terms of quality, but marketing presence makes all the difference.

I'd say because of the new type of consumer and the reason that custom makers migrated from this forum to social media.

I think I posted here and it was deleted? No offense if so. I am just going to say both the highest quality bar none. I just prefer Hanko's design. That is mainly because I bought them new. I would not buy them now. I am not saying anything else.
