Techshop info

Hi guys.

I ran across techshop.ws today. It appears to be a fully stocked shop in the SF bay area. You get full access to their tools and machines for $30 a day or $100 a month.

Have any of the bay area CPFers checked it out yet?

I have talked to the owner (Jim Newton) when they first started. He went to one of our machining meet. Really nice and motivated guy.

They have alot of quickie class that gets your feet wet for just $35. Man if they were around before I got my mill & lathe I would have save a bundle.

It's a great place to use those tools "once or twice a year" type of deal (eg welder/bender/shear). I don't recommend driving down every time you want to use a lathe. By the time you finished your setup (7PM) the wife is calling for dinner.
