that's what an M90-13V setup is good for...

Today, I wanted to pick my small box full of lamp holders from an enormous pile of boxes, but I couldn't locate it.

I'm going to move in a few weeks, and think about this: I stocked a pile of carton boxes from the lower left side to the upper right side of a wall in one room, and this two stocks behind each other.... and somewhere in that pile of boxes, that small box with lamp holders was located....

The very first thing you need to have in a new home is LIGHT! So, I freaked out because I couldn't find that box :(

But wait... what's a flashlight good for?? Yes, maybe I can shine through those tiny distances the boxes have from each other, to pinpoint that small, but essential box... I grabbed my M90 Rattlesnake in 13V setup, and started to look for it....

Guess what? Within 2 minutes I located that box... but that's quite something different than to GET that box actually

Some 10 minutes later, I had dug it out. Now I can start to connect 4" wires to at least 15 of those holders, so I can screw them to the ceilings right away

Then screw some 150 Watts incandescent light bulbs in them, and I have LIGHT

The M90 with 3x 3.7 volt Li-ions is absolutely sick, I swear by that light:twothumbs. What set up are you using? WE lamp? LF lamp? 3x 18500s? 3x 18650s?

In mine I have 3 x IMR 18500 cells and a LF IMR13 1,000 lamp, it is a very sweet set up indeed. :twothumbs

At the moment, I just use the standard Wolf eyes setup that draws 1.5 Amps from the standard Wolf eyes 18500s. This will give you an hour of runtime exactly (theoretical).

I love the beam-pattern of those Wolf Eyes D36 drop ins. They have a good hot spot with PLENTY of spill, something the LF LA's lack! These have a more penetrating hot spot, in which virtually ALL light seems to be concentrated. This is fine for throw, but it is less favorable for using it in the woods, where a floody beam is more useful.

But one day I surely will try the 1,000 Lumen LF LA. What's your opinion on this one? I somewhere read, that the IMR-lamps were more floody....

+1. I have many LA's, including LFs, and I always return to the WE LAs for their beam pattern. I think they are tops for overall useability.

My 13V is in 3x18650 config, and I love the extra runtime. I have been using a WE LA rated at 12V, not 13, and it has seen a good 7 hrs runtime or more and has no issues.

I find that that IMR13 has a very good combination of throw and flood, generating what is in effect a wall of light.

I run the longer 168A extension to for the extra run time, that and the fact that you can run the LF EO-13 bulbs brighter then with 18500s “les voltage sag:thumbsup:” As far as the IMR-13 vs. the EO-13 you obviously get more output with the 1,000 lumen lamp but you loss the ability to run longer lasting Li-ions and the beam has approximately 20% less throw over the 700 lumen lamp due to filament size and thus intensity and lastly you risk damaging your clicky tail cap. The 1,000 will however easily beat out the SF M6’s output, while the EO-13 is around the same power as the M6.

My stock WE LA had a very miss shaped hotspot “very football like:sick2:” this was a turn off for me, so I don’t use it.

I do not use a clicky tail cap with the IMR13 but instead sourced a flat twisty tail cap from WE, this being the one from the new Sealion. As you say, the clicky tail cap would not survive.

I know already, the standard LED-tailcap survives a 3A current also.

My WE LA has this shape of beam too, and I find it VERY handy. This is the MAIN REASON why I want to use the WE LA's :)
I ordered a spare already, just in case...

So many people, so many preferences... that piercing, small hot spot with less spill isn't for me.
