I tested mine today - ran it for 45 minutes or so, then quickly disassembled it.
It was quite hot to the touch, VERY uncomfortable to hold with anything more than the slightest of pressure.
I used my remote temperature sensor, and about the only place I could get a good reading was the LED itself - about 130 degrees. The aluminum reflector was too efficient at reflecting (or whatever) readings, and got readings of about 80 degrees (yeah, right) or so on it.
