Hello. The pocket clip hole on the muyshondt aeon mk3 aluminum model broke. I contacted the official website and received no response, so I am thinking of repairing it myself. I'm thinking of making the hole a little bigger and putting an insert in it. Has anyone done a similar repair?

Hello @bobb! Are you saying the pocket clip screw hole is stripped and the threads won't re-engage? (I don't have that light, just going off of web browser picture search)

If you don't get a response from the manufacturer, you can probably use a thread tap and ream out the hole for a larger screw. I'm assuming the thread is stripped and that tab on the body that the screw the pocket clip to is truly not broken. Good luck!

The pocket clip was an attempt never seen before on AEON, but I have to say it wasn't necessary. The clip makes it difficult to hold the light and the knurling loses its function. To begin with, this light is small enough to fit in your pocket. The appeal of the AEON series up until now has been the lack of breakable parts, so this clip really makes no sense. The durability of the light itself is at the level of a satellite, so that's a good thing.
