Initial brightness should be very close to max run times.

These cells fall off the table under 20 amp loads, so I'm expecting much the same behavior under 10 Amps or so.

Phaserburn,

The problem, as stated in other threads, is HEAT! If you want longer run times, and can handle the heat, buy extra battery packs!

The head gets so hot after 5 minutes that you can't hold it, at 12 minutes it will burn you if you aren't careful.

The truth is, this is not a light that is normally useable in anything except short bursts.

If you have a Mag85, think how few times you've actually had it on for a whole 12 minutes at a time. I've had one for most of a year, and except for run time checks, I've never had it on that long, though I know people who have.

The US just isn't a longtime run light. Think more along the lines of an ultimate Surefire M6, which has about 1/6 the light output, and only 4 minutes more runtime at close to full brightness and costs 20 dollars an hour to run!

I'll admit that this light is not for everyone, but boy oh boy, is it bright!!!
