Things you have done with your LED flashlight?

i just checked my fridge with my E2DL. it was making a funny sound:poke:

oh jees...

built a computer, rebuilt a computer, looked under and around objects, worked on equipment racks, repaired a van, repaired a car, ran sprints at night (lit up the whole hill), pulled it once or twice during 'sudden and unexpected absences of light,' general walking at night, lighting up random people (college campus, it's quite humorous), the dome lights are dead in my car so every time i hop in the car at night it gets used, late night excursions in the woods....

and that's just the CL1H V3 and limited to this past month, wait till i get a few more lights :-D

I was just outside lighting up my neighborhood with my 150 lumen 60X brighter Task Force CREE flashlight. It is amazing how it throws nearly 1000 feet and lights up acres of property.

My favorite thing that I ever did with one of my LED flashlights was lighting up trees 1/4 of a mile away with my 530 lumen CREE XR-E Coleman LED spotlight.

I posted this in the Cafe back in April:

There I was at a civic meeting, in a large room with no windows and about 35 other people, pretty well spread out around a large conference table and on the sidelines. We were getting to the conclusion of the meeting and the critical vote that had to be recorded. And every light in the room went out. There were two little red Exit signs but it was black as pitch. No emergency lights. Nothing. Several people got out cell phones, but the screens did nothing to light the room. Nobody else in the room had a flashlight.

Out came the Fenix P1D Q5 in natural finish from my front pocket. In candle mode and turbo-ing (180 lumens?) it lit up the room enough for the meeting to continue. And from my back pocket the little Kaidomain V3 AAA SSC provided amazingly bright spotlighting (advertised as 100 lumens) on the chairman and the presentation board behind him. We counted the hands for the vote and finished up the meeting. We packed up our belongings and left, still lit only by my flashlights. Needless to say, there were accolades for the flashaholic, who delighted in explaining that he charges his lights with a solar setup and what they were seeing with was stored-up sunlight.

Probably a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Priceless.

The guy next to me said "I carry a flashlight in my gym bag, but I don't have that with me tonight."

Made a 3 year old's day

made clanking sounds in the dryer when i forget to take it out of my pocket.

Found my friend's dog that ran away

I found myself staring at ceiling. It was 4 something in the morning.

I didn't want to get up, so I reached for my NC D10. It's always set on low at night. The beam looked so nice on my girlfriend's face. So beautiful…so heavenly…when she's not talking.

Then I decided to practice the level ramping.

I used my key ring torch to adjust a fog light on my car after dark last night. I think I annoyed the neighbour's dog - it couldn't see what I was doing down there.

I used my Mag p7 to sneak up on a guy who was trying to siphon my gas out of my car at 3:37am when i came around the corner he had no place to run but where i was standing so i just lit him up until the cops that i had called arrived 3 min later he couldnt even see he just keep apologizing.he was my neighbor from a few doors down i came to find out *******.:duck:

Today I took my wife and 1-year-old son to a doctor's appointment. I kept my son entertained by letting him play with my L0D Q4, to which I snugly affixed a green Carmex cap as a diffuser. I switched the Fenix to SOS, and the intermittent flashes were enough to keep him occupied for a while.

I finally found a use for the SOS mode on my Fenixes! :twothumbs
