Does anybody know what kind of thread TT and GF Lights are using?

I measured 1" and 20 threads per inch. This could be UNEF 1" - 20?

Seems strange that these lights would use imperial threads (seems strange anyone would use them IMHO :poke: ).
What they may be is 1.25mm which is very close to 20tpi.

Hi Packhorse,

thanks for your reply. You are right, this is very strange. May be this is some kind of hardware-copy-protection.

Or it´s simply a measuring error. My W200 uses the same thread.

The TT is 1" (or exactly 0.998")
The GF is 1" (or exactly 0.998")
The UF W200 is a little smaller 0.974" which could be 25mm (exactly 24,78mm)

But i can mix the heads and bodys.

The tpi are not so easy to measure. So the UNEF 1"-20 was the closest to my measurements.

Heeeeelp, please!

since both companies are European (Germany and Belgium) I doubt that they use imperial units.
I also noticed that the UF W200 is using a silimar thread, which makes sense since it is a tilly tec w30 clone.

The W300 pill has a M25.4x1mm thread too.

What is it you are trying to do? I dont like your chances of finding a compatible tap or die.

OK, some news: a good friend of mine measured my stuff with some professional tools.

He measured M25x1.5.

He explayned to me that this is no standard thread.

He thinks that TT (or GF) are using CNC-machines to build their stuff.

It really can be some kind of copy protection.

So i have to think over my next project. My plan was to build a bigger head with a 52 or bigger DX aspheric and a SST-90 at 9A.

My last project, a TT Pro head mod with 4 XR-E R2 at 800mA and a Ledil cute 4 RS optic is only equal to a 7.2V 20W Kowalski.

In bright daylight and murky water of the Baltic Sea this is not enough.
