Here's one for the SAK fans, I scored this at the weekend form another forum.

It's been fully rebuilt with 2mm Ti scales and a custom Ti clip.

Really nice and light, you could forget you had it in your pocket.

Very nice, is it slippery at all in the hand? other than the clip there doesn't seem to be much to grip onto.

Awesome. Simply awesome. May I ask how much it cost?

Only cost me £20, which I think was a very good price considering the work that has gone into it.

No more slippery than a std SAK with smooth red scales! You're right really, no grip, but then it is only a small light duty penknife. So far I've cut a box open and cut some fruit with it, it worked fine.

Wow, what a score! I bet a lot of people would pay 2-3x for that mod. I have a similar project in mind, but I haven't really pursued it much.

Did you have it made custom or did you buy it from a FS post?

I think it's beautiful. Great find. I'd definitely pay that price for that Ti knife.

Cheers guys, my first (and last for a while) Ti knife. I had very good luck, I logged on just as the knife came up for sale. There was two for sale, this one and a "solo" which is bigger (3inch blade), I was going to buy both, but thought it best to let someone else enjoy using the big one. Made by someone who makes knives as a hobby. Both sold very quickly.

It was on sale on the britishblades forum. They have a sale area like the marketplace, but for knives (and other bits). I always miss the nice little knives like this when they come up for sale. First time I've managed to get something like this :twothumbs

We went to an airshow yesterday, the little Ti came too. He was abducted by my wife at lunch for apple cutting. She won't admitt it, but I think she likes it! I had to ask for it back as it found it's way into her bag.

It spent the rest of the day in my pocket, the clip worked perfectly.
