I have had the Tiablo A9 for a number of weeks now and to me it seems quite fragil. If I drop it I am sure the lens head will pop off. The threads for it do not seem deep enough nor the thickness of the metal. I also notice that if you tighten all the connects even alittle to much the head will pop off. It has got to be snug just right for the head to stay on.

Are the rest of these high end throwers of the same quality such as Dereelight, etc?

Do others out there have this same impression?

My Tiablo A9 is nice and snug, like a bug on a rug. I think your head is not screwed all the way in. Make sure all parts of the light are touching - no holes anywhere between compartments.

My first Tiablo had the same exact problem you speak of. The bezel could not be tightened all the way to stay on, had to just be "snug". Poor quality control as not all the Tiablo's have this problem. FYI, my DBS V2 is solid as a rock :tinfoil:

I have an A9, and while I dont have your problem, I see what you mean. The crenelated bezel is a joke - hitting it lightly pops the top ring threads out. That, a few other issues, and an off-center LED force me to agree that the quality control is not that good for the A9. But I can assure you that the material itself is not fragile - the T7075 aluminum is probably stronger than even much thicker but lower grade aluminum. Also, the Tiablo MA6 is another story - it is well-built and came well-lubed. The only design flaw I can see is that the reflector is a bit loose before screwing in the head, so that usually leads to clamping it down in a slightly crooked position. But it can be fixed, and does not compromise the light's toughness.

I don't own a Dereelight, but I have read well over a hundred total comments about their build quality, all of them fantastic. "solid as a rock" and "tank" come up a lot :) The only problem I am aware of was an occasionally blotchy anodizing, but that was completely fixed in the v2 DBS and v3 CL1H.

Sir, with all due respect, figure out what a review is. This is your second non review in the reviews section in 2 weeks.

My A9 has the exact same problem, loose thread fit on the bezel where too tight will pop it off, and if you tighten down the light engine too much it puts pressure on the LED mount and reflector where any shock will launch the head...poor design and poor QC imo. I'm returning it.

greetings all

Since september last year I own a Tiablo A8 Q5.
For me the bezel is also a joke - I mean my Tiablo is extreme well built. Everythings is tight but not too and the threads are very smooth to screw.
But I wasnt sure whether it is made for rough usage untill last week the light slipped out of my hands and landet from about 5ft on my driveway.
I thought it's all over with it - at least one of the threads has to be irrevesible damaged.
Later that night when I had the time to eye up the damage.
I was extremely surprised. There's absolutely nothing- ok just 3 shallow kinks and that's it.
The Tiablo is one ultra though flashlight that can handle extreme usage.
I love this light also there are best throwers on the market I will never regret the purchase.

Just my opinion

I thought I should share this story with you and I was extremely bored :popcorn:so ... maybe it attracks someones interest.
