to machinists: a NEW idea - bodytubes and adapters -

Hey Guys,

I think I've got a good idea. I was searching the forums for a couple of hours now and I came to the conclusion it's something new which does not exist so far.

It's about body tubes and adapters to certain flashlights with (at least in my opinion) some sick potential.

I'd love to tell you more I just want to post this here (I hope it's the right place) because I don't know anyone that has experience with a lathe or CAD programming.


I mean I'd love to see these parts in reality and I was wondering whether there isn't any manufacturer or someone with skills that is interested in my idea

I'm pretty sure that battery tubes, adapters and extenders are not new ideas, but go ahead anyway. Tell us your idea.

of course I am not reinventing the wheel.
With due respect thinking about body tubes and adapters will always be nothing groundbreaking.

I just wanted to say it's not number 101 of a surefire e-series body-tube.


I just had two ideas regarding two flashlights. Don't get me wrong it's absolutely nothing special and to be honest with you I doubt someone will seriously be interested in at least the first. But let me have a try.


I love the Tiablo A8/A8. Its trow is amazing. Sure the DBS has a further trow but also a bigger head and if you ask me the head isn't an eye catcher at all.
The A8 is my favorite flashlight and also it's not small I more edc it as any other torch I own.
But I do not like the body tube, the tail cap and I hate the emitter and driver is somehow not easy upgradeable.

So I thought about a body that makes it possible to screw in a P60 sized pill. Just exactly like the Lumapower D-Mini.
There are dozens of p60 pills available and anyone would be able to run the Tiablo due to it's very special needs and wishes.
(ok ok I am not sure about all p60 pills having the same threads... I do have three from different manufactures and the pills are interchangeable)

Furthermore why not make tubes which make it possible to fire the light with one RCR one C sized Li-io or maybe two 18650 or even 3 CR.
I don't know - whatever people like maybe make tubes that fit surefire tailcaps or whatever.

But as I already said I doubt people are interested in upgrading an old thrower.




The second idea is referring to the new JetBeam JET-III PRO Titanium edition.

I personally would love it having a one rcr tube or one C sized Titanium tube ...


that's it ... again it's not the reinvention of the wheel and nothing special but I personally would be dying on getting started with these things.
But unfortunately I do not have the possibility and experience.

Please don't be hard with me if something similar still exists. I wasn't able to find it. Maybe someone who has the possibilities doing things like this like the ideas ...
