After a recent conversation with a semi-friendly LEO, I think a toothless E2DL (want the output of the E2DL, not the E2) is my next 2 cell light.

Anyone know if such a thing is possible? Would I have to buy the E2DL and then somehow get that strike bezel off?

Thanks!

Re: Toothless E2DL??

smokelaw, you can either use a KX2C, or ask M I K to mod an actual E2DL bezel for you.

Thanks, I found him (see the second post) when I searched without spelling "toothless" wrong!

Re: Toothless E2DL??

I was looking a the E2DL, are you suggesting that leo's have a problem with citizens carrying them or are you addressing the bezel tearing up your cloths?

I just got my E2DL back from MIK a few weeks ago. MIK does great work and is a pleasure to deal with. The toothless E2DL is now my favorite SF light and it's nearly stock! On high, it's brighter than the Malkoff M60, throws better, has a better tint, and has better beam uniformity. In fact, it's the brightest light that I own now.

The E2DL and my KX2C head are also my favorite lights right now. There is something about the beam at medium and long distances that just hits the spot for me.
