Yeah, that's a good looking light.

If you get a chance, please do post up some beamshots from outdoors. I'm doing a light simliar to this, but with a lot more emitters, and wouldn't mind seeing the hotspot/spill of this optic outdoors.

Hi, can you explain me, what battery config u used, because i'm trying to mod my magcharger with the same setup, but i'm currently searching for a suitable driver (boost 6Vin to 10Vout + 1-1.2A regulation). It's really hard to find a PIC to build a circuit around it....:S

I am using a single DX 25500 li-ion, I believe it is the same size as
the old AW C cell.

The optic has a diameter of 21.6mm, I am not sure if four will fit

What level of current are you feeding the LED's?

Something weird happened when I tried to take some measurements from
the tailcap Everytime I powered on, the light would just strobe but I did
manage to take a single measurement which I think was on "burst" mode

Hmmm .... I dont have a tri XRE to compare, but when I compare it with
my quad R2 (Maxflex set at 700mA) it is noticeably brighter

Just did some quick research on whether 4 LXP optics will fit in a Mag head.
Using the formula posted by member Al Combs here
unfortunately 4 LXP optics will not fit

We know that a Mag head has an internal diameter of 49mm and the optic
has a diameter of 21.6mm, therefore

21.6 x 2.4142135624 = 52.1470129mm

So we would need a circle with a diameter of 52.1470129mm for 4 LXP
optics to fit into

tx, I have seen alot of your flashlights and they are really nice. I have also seen alot of your beamshots.....what do you normally use to hold the camera? A paint mixer or a washing machine on a spin cycle. JK great mod.

4 of those optics will not drop in a *stock* Mag head, but with some filing on the optics, and a little boring of the head, they'll go in.

I got to see this little red monster at the London UK meeting at the weekend.

Fantastic output, really clean build, and above all it looks great.

The size of the 1C host is perfect. The polished metal front and back made a good contrast with the bright Red body.

Is your tint pure white?? What binning did you chose? 1A0, 1B0, or 1C0??

I am building a XPG light but I'm unsure of the binning. I want cool white.
