U bin? T Bin?

Hi all, new to this forum, I just did my first mod, changing the LED in a Princeton tech Torrent LED to a 'U bin' SSC P4...wow, what a difference!

Just wondering just wondering what the terms u-bin and t-bin mean? Can't seem to find much on google..

T and U are "Luminous Flux Bins".

Have done a bit of reading now..seems that the bin number is a way of categorizing the characteristics of the LEDs with reference to colour and intensity and 'quality' then? So a U bin is brighter than a t bin?

I think I'll try a natural white P4 next in the PT Torrent...damn it is bright but almost too 'blue'...using a pure white P4 at present.

Generally it's only brightness. Color binning is done via a different code number.
