U2 and Rebel (or any others?)

Hey Folks,


Awhile back it was noted that the LED of our friend the U2 really could not be swapped. Although possible, it was difficult and the results were less than steller.



Now that the rebel is here, is the U2 upgrade becoming more feasible?

You cannot change the U2's Lux V to the newer Cree's, Seoul, or Rebel led's and still have the electonics work correctly. The 5 watt Luxeon LED has a forward voltage of over twice the newer 3 watt LED's.

Looks like we found the answer to this with Scotts CRAZY Rebel U2!!!
