With the previous disaster in mind (16340s from this brand, having hardly over 50% of their stated capacity) I began some tests on the same brand's 17500s.

They have a stated capacity of 1300mAh. After I fully charged and paired them to the best I could, I managed to get well over 1100mAh for the best two of four I have. Not bad at all

I charged them until current fell under 3% of the guessed capacity (< 30mA).

Then I discharged them two by two in series, I was able to pair them in this way AND in the same run get an idea of their actual capacity. I discharged them with 450mA. Cut-off voltage was 3V/cell so in this setup 6V.

They were bought at DX, SKU 6226. Only $ 9,56 for the pair!

With sites such as this and the comments that get posted on DX's forums, I think the low cost battery producers are getting the idea that we like our low cost cells but we also want some value for our money.

Do they fit your C3 well?

Yes, they fit perfectly and fire up a P90 with just one click - no double tapping required
You'll have nearly an hour of runtime (a P90 draws 1.15 Amps) so a safe runtime is about 45 minutes when you want to preserve some power, lengthening the life of the batteries.
I'm surprised how good they are, and that I'm now actually encourage people to buy them
