Left Ultrafire C2, Middle Ultrafire EMR1, Right P2D RB100 (ceiling shot on maximum brightness, arnd 2.5 meters from the floor)
Left P1D Q2 Right P2D RB100
Just a question, is that the real tint of the RB100 or did i get a defective one?
Ultrafire C2
Pros:
Good Build Quality
Cheap
Water tight
Bright Light
Good Flood and Throw
Cons:
Single Mode
Ultrafire EMR1
Pros:
Bright light
5 mode
Cheap for this class of light
Cons:
Heats up very quickly
Not so Good Construction, but easily remedied
-leaks air on the lens assembly, had to add a sealant to keep it air tight
-tail switch is too short from the rubber tail boot, had to add a spacer on the switch
-easily scratches
Fenix P2D RB100
Pros:
Well made, high quality
air tight seal
does not heat up that much
Very good arangement of modes
-Low>Medium>high>SOS - nice to use for close up work in the dark
-Turbo>Strobe
Tail switch has a nice feel
Cons:
Pricey but worth it
RB100 seems to be weaker than a Q2 due to tint but after taking underexposed shots, its brighter by only a bit
Fenix P1D Q2
Pros:
Small Size
Bright
Portable
Good Quality
Cons:
modes should be Low>Medium>High>Strobe>SOS
I once turned it on one dark night inside the taxi cab to look at my wallet but could not see the contents of my wallet since it was TOO concentrated and bright when it started in normal mode and my eyes already got adjusted to the dark. since that time, i decided to get a P2D which starts on low.
---its been only a month since i started and I already have 4 lights.. this is one expensive hobby.. hehe
