Hi. I'm new to this forum and was thinking of getting a single AA flashlight. I was wondering if anyone recommended any of these three:

UltraFire C3
Romisen H3
Gerber Infinity Ultra

I'm sure the gerber has the longest battery life but what about the other two? Also, which is the brightest? Thanks for your replies.

Don't get the C3, it has too much flickering problems. Most other cheap AA lights on DX would be better buys (such as Ultrafire A10).

But you should really check out the iTP A2 instead of the above lights.

The gerber is a great backup light, it provides a low level of light for a very long time. The tint is kinda bad from what I hear though and it is a bit outdated. I really like the romisen brand but I that there are newer romisens you can get too. I've never owned an ultrafire but I hear almost nothing but bad about them.

I think a romisen like the rc-g2 or the rc-29 are great choices, but you should def check out the ITP keychain lights as well that above mentioned.

Shiningbeam.com is a good place to start, they have a lot of great romisen lights as well as the ITP's, although you can get those from a number of respected vendors.

+1 on shiningbeam, his shipping costs are very reasonable seeing as how i live in singapore and he checks his lights before shipping them out too, havent had a dud yet.

I've had a few ultrafire c3s all except the very first one i got in 2007 are dead, flickering or on their way to the great flashlight graveyard, i'd stay away from anything ending in 'fire' with the sole exception of SUREfire.

Thanks for the help! Wow, the Romisen RC-29 looks great. Does anyone know its runtime on regular AA?
