Umm, somethin ain't right here. My black SMO works like a champ, however, the chrome VLOP seems to have a birth defect. No ID threads, needs duct tape to atatch to the mag.

No more mutant reports, this must have the only one to escape into the wild.

I would love to get some feedback from an owner of the old deep bezel and this new deep bezel. I'm wondering if throw increased or lessened. If the SMO is still nice and clean like it was with the older ones. Does total lux still go up as much with the new deep?
Which is better, ignoring the extra length the old one added.

EDIT: I found this after I asked. Looks good.

If anyone here likes to use an ROP and would like more throw from it then it would be wise to try one of these out. The cammed version would be beneficial, I didn't get one and had to use thin washers as spacers. It did allow me to perfectly fine tune the throw however!

Very impressive performance from a tiny bit of added length.

So Sgt. LED, you have one of these 2nd run deep reflectors with a ROP? I read some threads about the first run of these, and while the Mag85 seemed to show a large improvement with these units, the ROP owners were less impressed. Can you describe the changes in the beam you are seeing with your ROP?
