I have had this light for awhile now and had problems with it's o-rings. The head rings seemed to get very tight even with fresh NYE 779. They got rather mushy and removing the head was very sluggish, feeling as if there was to much surface contact. I replaced them with 1.5x38mm i.d. viton(slightly harder) rings and the feel and seal seems greatly improved.
I also was not happy with the fit of the bezel/lens ring which is in fact too small an i.d. which made it very hard to install as it would slip out before the lens could be installed ( fussy work with a toothpic to put lens in). A 1/16" (.071" actual) x 1.625"x1.75" silicon ring works nicely.( cool red color too)A great lens seal and a little extra thickness to make sure the head does'nt bottom out on it's threads before the pill to inside tube contacts.
Just some thoughts in case anyone else has same troubles. pez
